New MOU signed to extend and expand the Kids Off The Streets program in Afghanistan

Akademos Society has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Rahnaward-e-Noor High School (RHS) to extend and expand our Kids Off The Streets (KOTS) program in Ghor province of Afghanistan. The new agreement will support the existing 20 students within the program and add 8 new students, taking the number of students supported by Akademos Society to 28 in total.

KOTS provides monthly school fee for primary and secondary school students to enable disadvantaged children to pursue education and stay off the streets. Learn more about KOTS program here: https://akademossociety.org/kids-off-the-street/

“Education is at the core of our work at Akademos Society. We have a proud history of making an impact on of the lives of disadvantaged students. The expansion of Kids Off The Streets program is a demonstration of our commitment towards education of girls and boys in Afghanistan. In partnership with RHS, Akademos will continue to provide critical support to disadvantaged students so they can continue their education. We are thankful to RHS for their ongoing support and continued partnership”, said Dr Homa Forotan, Program Manager of Kids Off The Streets.

“We are pleased to see Akademos Society continuing and expanding their critical support of the deserving students at the Rahnward-e-Noor High School through signing of the new MoU. In addition to directly helping educate dozens of disadvantaged and underprivileged students in Ghor province, Akademos’s help also assists with enabling RHS to support all the students at the school. The financial support for the education of the students through Akademos’ Kids Off The Streets (KOTS) has allowed us to deal with the financial problems of the school and properly continue the educational activities”, said Ustad Azizullah Mahdi, Founder of RHS.
